2017 SafeCare Person of the Year

Seven Point “IT IS ACE” Strategy

Reliance on Obamacare to allocate health resources, to contain costs, and to determine better healthcare for Americans failed”
— Yisrael Safeek, MD, MBA, Chairman and CEO, The SafeCare Group
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, USA, January 17, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The SafeCare Group which develops and licenses software applications that optimize hospital reimbursement and accreditation, announced today its seven-point strategy for Making American Healthcare Great Again at its SafeCare Magazine site: https://www.safecaremagazine.com/

The “IT IS ACE” strategy addresses seven urgent national policy initiatives that should be implemented by Health and Human Services for the benefit of the American people. Each letter in the “IT IS ACE” strategy title corresponds to a major policy initiative. For each policy initiative, there is an outline of the Scope of the Problem; Policy Priorities; Deployment Phases; Special Considerations; and Accountability. Yisrael Safeek, MD, MBA, Chairman and CEO, The SafeCare Group stated a copy of the document was sent to President Trump at the White House.

“Rarely in the history of our nation,” stated Dr. Safeek, “has there been an urgency to address problems facing the US health care system. Most of these problems are not new; they have been discussed for decades by the all-talk, do-nothing politicians.”

According to Dr. Safeek, most of these problems stem from a highly-fragmented US healthcare system, which due to reluctance (or inability) to act on the part of our leaders, led to a slow deterioration of our healthcare. Some of the most notable issues plaguing the US healthcare system include its failure to properly treat chronic diseases, failure to provide preventative coverage for low-income people, and failure to contain soaring cost of life-saving drugs and medical devices.

Reliance on Obamacare to allocate health resources, to contain costs, and to determine better healthcare for Americans failed. The upshot is the US now spends more per capita on health services than any other country in the world, but lags behind many other countries on such health indicators as life expectancy and infant mortality. There are also new problems facing the US healthcare system like decreasing life expectancy from opioid addiction, the rise of intractable infections from superbugs, and the threat of potential outbreaks of new or resurgent pathogens from ever-increasing global trade and travel.

President Trump’s fulfillment of campaign promises – even in the face of unprecedented partisan obstruction and political gridlock - and his determination to achieve for the ordinary American patients is unparalleled. It was for this reason President Trump was voted 2017 SafeCare Person of the Year, for healthcare achievements.
