Mainers rally for tax fairness in Augusta

AUGUSTA (WGME) -- Mainers rallied for tax fairness in Augusta Tuesday.

The group Mainers for Tax Fairness, who helped organize the event, claim Congress is gutting things like Social Security, veterans care and education, just to support tax cuts for the rich.

People who spoke at Tuesday's rally echoed those claims.

About 100 people showed up at the rally.
