Insurer rebuts new attorney general’s claim he secured $30 million to resolve fraud claim

Universal Property & Casualty Insurance disputed a claim that Florida's new attorney general "secured" the return of $30 million following an investigation into a claim the company fraudulently filed Hurricane Irma claims with the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund. The matter was resolved in mid-2023, the company said.
