A Maine man is facing a felony theft charge after police said he stole an automated teller machine from a Westbrook business.Maxwell Juvet, 38, of Saco, was also charged with possession of burglar's tools in connection with the theft.The Westbrook Police Department said the ATM was stolen during the middle of a "busy weekday," but authorities did not specify exactly when or where the theft happened.Police said detectives who were investigating the case were led to a Saco residence, where they executed a search warrant. Investigators found some of the stolen money during the search, as well as tools that were used in the theft.The Westbrook Police Department said the ATM theft was one of several major cases that happened in the city recently.Police said new tires and rims valued at more than $3,000 were stolen from a Westbrook auto dealership. Detectives were able to recover the stolen items and 35-year-old Neil Marletta, of Kennebunk, was charged with felony theft in connection with that case.In a separate case, a Westbrook resident lost their debit card and several fraudulent purchases were made on it. Police said detectives were able to identify the suspect as 40-year-old Joseph Wescott, of Westbrook. Wescott was charged with theft by deception, theft by unauthorized taking and misuse of identification, as well as operating after a habitual offender revocation.Related content:
