OVD Insurance is relocating its city of Wyoming headquarters and 120 employees to Grand Rapids

OVD Insurance is an independent insurance brokerage currently based in Wyoming, Michigan.

Leaders announced Thursday, the company has experienced significant growth, doubling in the last five years.

To accommodate that growth, OVD will be moving to a 7-story office building on Ottawa Avenue Northwest in downtown Grand Rapids.

Partnering with CWD Real Estate Investment, OVD will make significant investments into the building throughout 2025 with plans to move in late this year.

OVD is expected to make capital investments of more than $12 million and create at least 131 new jobs with the support of the Michigan Strategic Fund, noting that attracting world-class talent was a key factor driving the decision to select Michigan for the expansion.

New jobs will have starting wages of $30.00 per hour plus benefits – that’s above the regional median wage of about $22 per hour.

OVD also has offices in Pittsburgh and Raleigh along with partnerships in Dallas and Nashville.
