NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — During a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 20, OERE Commercial Real Estate officially opened its doors at 14 South State Street.

“We are here to change the commercial market. And with the leadership we have in place and with our team of agents, we’re going to do it,” said Mark Gatta who founded the new brokerage house
with Volkan Andic as a subsidiary of Opus Elite, its residential real estate arm.

“Today is special," said Gatta. "When we started our residential brokerage seven years ago we had eight agents. Now we have seven offices and over 200 agents. That alone is a huge undertaking and we’re super proud of that. But aside from that, the fact that we will now be able to do in the commercial real estate market what we’ve done in the residential, to me, it’s just a beautiful thing.”

“Commercial real estate can be done better and different,” said OERE's director of commercial real estate Joe Sternberg who joined Gatta for the ribbon cutting. “Mark and Volkan have a great vision as to how commercial real estate companies should operate. We have assembled a really great team and we have a lot of momentum already. We have 12 excellent listings.”

Sternberg is a former senior associate with NAI Mertz where he completed more than $30 million in deals. With NAI Mertz, he was involved in a wide range of commercial transactions including warehouse/flex, retail, office, and land development. As director of commercial real estate for OERE, Sternberg is utilizing his unique skill set to develop a commercial real estate firm that is taking a different approach than traditional commercial real estate firms.

“We will be extremely focused on the best interests of our clients. When representing owners,
we will carefully put together a successful plan to maximize the value of their properties whether selling or leasing," said Sternberg. "On the tenant or buyer side, our agents will be trained to secure the best possible facilities at the lowest cost for our clients. Our agents will provide additional value.”

He added, “There’s a lot of love and a lot of caring here and that’s what we’re injecting into this.
We’re not going to be the old boys network. We have a lot of listings. We have a lot of momentum. This team has been amazing.”

Setting OERE apart from the rest of the commercial real estate market is its cooperation with other brokers, added Sternberg. “That’s a very important thing. A lot of commercial real estate agents will try to take the deals direct and will keep you out. We just want to do the best we can for our clients. The bottom line is that there’s a lot of love and caring and that’s what we want to bring to the table.”

On hand to welcome the new business to town was Mayor John Burke who wished the new brokerage house success and commended Gatta on his energy and enthusiasm. He later joined the OERE team for the ribbon cutting.

OERE is licensed throughout Pennsylvania but will be focused primarily on the Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery County areas.

“We have some really big projects we’re working on. Stay tuned,” said Gatta. “In Bucks County, we have some great new commercial listings that are about to come out, some of which have already launched."
