Tom Brady Reacts to Record-Breaking Sale of the Boston Celtics

On Thursday, the Boston Celtics sold for a record-breaking $6.1 billion to Bill Chisholm, managing partner at Symphony Technology Group. This is the largest sale for a sports franchise in North America.

Many are fans of the deal, including future NFL Hall of Famer and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. Brady was spotted with one of the new minority owners, Bruce Beal Jr., and posted a congratulatory message on his personal Instagram account.

This deal surpasses the $6.05 billion purchase of the Washington Commanders in 2023.

Brady, who played in the Northeast for most of his NFL career, has continued to have ties to and stay in touch with that area.

Beal Jr. is a successful real estate executive and vice chairman of the Miami Dolphins. He joined the ownership group as a minority owner. Beal's involvement in the NBA franchise marks a significant expansion of his sports ownership portfolio.

This move is significant and comes at a time when the Celtics have established themselves as a possible dynasty in the league. Boston is coming off a championship season, its first since 2008, and is one of, if not the favorites, to win yet another title, which would be their 19th in franchise history.

Brady's post is a reminder of the sports excellence established in the Boston and Northeast areas. The 47-year-old is arguably the greatest athlete of this generation and certainly the greatest tossing the pigskin. Brady is the ultimate winner.

Outside of his championships, he played 23 seasons in the NFL with the Patriots and Buccaneers and had an NFL career like no other.

During his tenure, he holds records for career quarterback wins (251), career passing completions (7,753), career passing touchdowns (649), and career passing yards (89,214). That's just four of the many records and accolades he holds to his name.

Brady is now the lead analyst for the A-team on FOX Sports and called his first-ever Super Bowl in the booth last month.

Although the Celtics have a new regime, the goal remains the same. As of Saturday, they have a 51-19 record, which is good for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Although they likely won't have homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs, they are confident they can get the job done regardless.
