THUNDER ON THURSDAY. BACK TO YOU. HEATHER. THANK YOU. WE GOT A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT HERE AT KCRA 3 TODAY. IT’S A BIG DAY. WE WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE KCRA THREE TEAM, CURTIS MING. IF HE LOOKS FAMILIAR TO YOU, IT’S BECAUSE HE’S BEEN DELIVERING NEWS FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. IN FACT, WE STARTED TOGETHER. WE DID. WE WERE BABIES. 20 YEARS AGO IN REDDING, AT THE AGE OF A LITTLE MORE THAN THAT, I 25 YEARS AGO. LOOK AT THAT. OH MY GOSH. WOW. AND KRISTEN WELKER. YES. YEAH. KRISTEN WELKER, CURTIS AND I ALL STARTED TOGETHER ABOUT 25 YEARS AGO. SO AND HERE WE ARE WORKING TOGETHER AGAIN. WELCOME TO THE TEAM. I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED. I’M SO EXCITED. IT IS A REUNION WITH YOU AND ME. WE’VE BEEN. DEAR FRIENDS, CAN YOU FEEL ME THOUGH? IT’S LIKE SHOWING UP TO THE RIVAL HIGH SCHOOL AND GOING, OH MAN, I USED TO COMPETE WITH THESE GUYS, BUT NOW I GOT TO BE ON THEIR TEAM. I’M SO EXCITED TO BE HERE. I HAVE TO SAY, YOU GUYS HAVEN’T AGED A DAY. THANK YOU, THANK YOU. AS YOU DID WAY BACK WHEN. WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT? WHAT KIND OF STORIES ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO TELL? TELLING. AND I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED TO BE AN ADVOCATE FOR THE VIEWER AND IN EVERYTHING I DO, YOU ASK THE QUESTIONS THE VIEWERS WANT ANSWERED. THAT’S ALWAYS TOP OF MIND. AND THEN JUST IF THERE’S A WAY WE COULD ASK QUESTIONS OF THE IMPORTANT PEOPLE AND MAKE SOCIETY BETTER FOR OUR VIEWERS, THAT IS CLASSIC JOURNALISM RIGHT THERE. AND THIS STATION HAS A LEGACY OF DOING THAT, AND I’M SO EXCITED TO NOW BE PART OF THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THAT LEGACY. MY FIRST DAY AS A JOURNALIST ON THE JOB WAS WITH CURTIS, AND HE TRAINED ME, AND THE FIRST STORY HE DID WAS GETTING, YOU KNOW, BASICALLY WAS RIGHTING A WRONG FOR THIS FAMILY WHO HAD BEEN WRONGED IN REDDING. BUT HE’S ALWAYS BEEN, YOU KNOW, GETTING THINGS RIGHTED FOR PEOPLE AND LISTENING TO VIEWERS AND GETTING THEIR STORIES OUT THERE AND HELPING THEM. YES. SO FOR SOME OF US, YOU KNOW, WE’RE NEW TO EACH OTHER, SO WE’RE ALL LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU. WHAT IS YOUR YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN SACRAMENTO AND WHY? FOR ALL THE FOLKS OUT HERE WATCHING, YOU KNOW, I LOVE THE DOG PARKS. THIS CITY HAS AN AMAZING AMOUNT OF DOG PARKS, AND SO I LOVE TO GET THE DOGS OUT THERE AND RUN AROUND. AND I REALLY LOVE DOING THAT. AND HAVE A COUPLE OF RESCUES I DO. I HAVE TWO RESCUE DOGS. THEY KEEP YOU BUSY. THEY SURE DO. WELL, CURTIS, THANK YOU SO MUCH. WELCOME TO THE TEAM. THANK YOU. WE’RE SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU HERE. I’M HAPPY TO BE HERE. THANK YOU GUYS. I’M SURE
