Downtown Pensacola's salad and cocktail combo drive-thru is now open. Here's what to try
Salad ‘n Dash, Pensacola’s newest salad and cocktail crossover, is now open in the former Wells Fargo Bank at 10 S. Jefferson St.
Salad ‘n Dash is the second concept brought by restauranteur Johnny Mascia, who debuted downtown steakhouse BarSteak on Palafox Street last fall.
Mascia said each of the restaurants he has opened so far, with one more restaurant on the way, has had the goal of increasing foot traffic in the downtown area “with three very different approachable concepts that offer different things.”
“You do a nice kind of European experience at BarSteak sit-down, but Salad ‘n Dash was specific about having something fresh and alternative and sustainable in downtown,” Mascia said. “The way we designed the building for Salad ‘n Dash is each side of the building is a revenue center. So, we have a pedestrian walk-up. We have a vehicle drive-thru on the other side. On the third side, we have complimentary parking for mobile app order pickup, and on the fourth side, we have third-party delivery: Uber, DoorDash, GrubHub.”
For its early stages, the restaurant will offer lunch and dinner, but will eventually bring on breakfast as well. Salad ‘n Dash is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and closed on Sunday.

The menu was crafted to take a creative spin on classics, like the Southern Caesar, which features praline pecans, cornbread croutons, roasted corn and gorgonzola.
The menu also offers a build-your-own salad option allowing customers about 45 choices of greens, proteins, croutons, cheeses and toppings.
“I mean, the twist is typically in a drive-thru like this you're not going to get fresh mozzarella, roasted fruits like Fuji apple and peaches,” Mascia said.
While salad is in the restaurant's name, any salad can be made into a wrap. The menu also features a line of signature wrap combinations.
There is also a variety of unique sides, including a homemade broccoli slaw, frozen grapes, hummus and pita chips, potato chips and fruit cups.
The menu focuses on sourcing local ingredients and vendors, including their non-alcoholic beverage line, which offers various flavors of Mrs. Jones Cold Brew, Noli South Kombucha, RIPE Cold Pressed Juices, Big Jerk Soda and Sweet Jackson Tea.
As far as the alcoholic drinks go, all alcohol is served sealed, including single serve wine, beer and canned cocktails like mango margaritas, hurricanes, White Russians and Surfside Tea. Bottles of wine are also 40% off with the purchase of a meal.
Regardless of what you order, all items under $20.
