The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) has called a Special General Council meeting for Monday to consider the government's latest wage offer.

The latest wage offer follows today's talks at the Finance and Public service ministry.

The parties resumed negotiations today two days after teachers ended their three-day sickout to protest the Government’s 16 per cent wage offer over a four-year period.

JTA president Georgia Waugh-Richards would not say what improvement, if any, has been presented by the Government.
