Michelle McManus has shared a throwback clip of the moment she was announced as the winner of Pop Idol … in 2003.
The Scottish singer posted the video on Instagram, marking 15 years since her victory on the music contest show.
Michelle thanked those who voted for her on that fateful night, as fans flocked to the comments to share their disbelieve that it was so long ago.
Captioning the clip, she wrote: “15 years ago today.
“Thank you to everyone who picked up the phone that night and voted, you changed my wee life forever.”
In the video, Michelle can be seen stood beside runner-up Mark Rhodes, eagerly awaiting the winner announcement from baby-faced Ant and Dec.
As Dec declares Michelle victorious, she doubles over with emotion before hugging fellow contestant Mark.
Telly host Kate Thornton commented: “15 years!! What an amazing time that was x”
Fans also took to the comments to praise the singer, revealing they were amid the millions who voted her to win that night.
